This is a decision I can not decide on. I have a 6 month old 2025 forester limited with four thousands and I would like to turn in my car for a new forester hybrid premium. Dealership quotes $8000 as difference. Te hybrid has mote power and save on gas.

As an engineering type, I've never been a fan of EVs or hybrids. I seriously doubt you'll ever recover the extra cost (ROI) in fuel savings. Plus the added on going maintenance costs for upkeep of a more complicated system.
It certainly isn't helping the environment after all things are considered and taken into account. They don't give those batteries away and they do die. Plus getting rid of them is problematic for everyone, the environment included.

You are right but guys like me are always chasing cars and do not think of future problems. I was going to over look a real deal breaker the lack of a spare tire but this was over the top. I was trying to get something for nothing

The Forester has plenty of room for a real spare if you really want it. Seems like you're looking for a problem for your solution...

People are always trying to get something for nothing but free lunches simply do not exist. Trust me on this. They usually end up paying more for less.
