Subaru Foolish Marketing Choices

Seems to me, Subaru makes some foolish choices with regard to exterior and interior colors. Why would an Impreza, made in the same factory as a Legacy, have two choices of blue paint, yet the Legacy has one blue choice, which is not the same as the two for the Impreza? After all, the paint is already in the same factory.
Why is Crimson Red paint only available in certain trim level Legacys, and not available in all levels?? Isn't a simple manner of changing a click box on a paint robot computer??
Why does the Legacy has only two interior colors and only one interior color on the base model? What happened to tan interiors? Seems to me that only two interior color choices really annoys buyers. The extensive use of black interiors probably hurts sales in hot weather states like Florida.

Its the cost of the paint, hence why some other dealers will have the "premium" paint options that cost a couple more big bucks, and if someone really wants that specific color, they will move up to the next trim level, therefore forcing the consumer to pay more for what the want.

Its all market strategy and infact works very well for most dealers.

Your logic does not make sense in this case. the Legacy has 5 trim levels. The Crimson Red is not available on the lowest trim level and the fourth highest.
