Subaru extended the warranty on certain head units

We have a 2023 Impreza and a 2024 Crosstrek Wilderness. The owner of the Impreza got a letter from Subaru indicating that the warranty on the head unit (in many Subie models) has been extended from 3 to 8 years. Some of the models listed in the letter are as old as 2019, and the letter said Subaru will refund an owner who paid for a replacement when the car was out of warranty. Contact your dealer for more info; I'm not going to type in the list of effected models.
