Subaru engine suppliers

I'm looking for any reliable Subaru engine remanufacture companies and/or used engine suppliers, preferably near the west coast. If anyone can share some recommendations it was be appreciated, also negative experiences will help as well.

Have you searched online? There are a ton of places that sell USDM and JDM options. Be sure to choose the right configuration and know what bits are still attached to it. Belts, Alternator, water pump, wiring, etc.

I have found several places for both rebuilt and used but I'm looking for anyone who has had experience with companies they can share so I can make a better choice before I commit to anything.

I'd look at Japanese suppliers. It's my understanding that due to Japanese auto laws, it creates a surplus of low mileage japanese car parts, especially engines.
