I just learned that I can tell my '06 Mercedes to re-learn my driving style. This led me to wonder about our Forester.
After reading a bunch about resetting the transmission in the Mercedes (TCM) and a little about the "computer" on our 2009 Forester wagon, I'm thinking of disconnecting the negative battery terminal for a half-hour. I'm wondering if this can help the car re-learn our driving styles?
For some years, and on occasion, it seems like the car is/was late to upshift. (I've not noticed this much lately - maybe it's "learned" us?) I'm hoping that this procedure might help (and, of course, don't want to screw anything up). I'm willing to reset radio stations. Hope key fobs are not affected.
I look forward to your input.
