Are there any model years of Subaru Outback’s that have the best reputation for reliability as used cars?

2000-2009, IMHO.

My advice is SELL, SELL, SELL ASAP! I tried a Subaru Outback and will never own another POS Subaru again, service sucks and transmission went out, now if you want it fixed, it will cost you 12K! Junk CVT transmissions.

Check Consumer Reports online. They give a breakdown of past year models and how well they hold up based on owner feedback. I get a survey every 6 months or so. You may need to subscribe to their website but I don't think it's very expensive. I check it before I make any decisions about high priced items.
