Rattling sound from drivers side roof? 24 Outback

For the life of me, I can’t determine what is causing the intermittent rattling sound that seems to come from the roof above and behind the driver’s side headrest. The stock rack on the roof is not loose as far as I can tell. Has anyone had and solved this problem?

I have this as well. Dealer says its the small gap between the ehadliner and the roof itself. Have scheduled a day the can have it for repair under warranty. Something to do with the sunroof track. I stuffed a peice of cloth in there to see if it helped and it did. Mostly does it when cold. Will post results after "fix".

I have the same issue on my 2023 Limited. I took it to the dealership and the replaced the roof rails under warranty. Now the rattling is worse, plus the Eyesight housing above the rearview mirror rattles and buzzes.

I feel its not the car thats the issue, its the techs working on them, especially if the dept manager goes by the time to repair method instead f fix right. I am lucky in having a local dealerwith good techs and great management. I'm on my 4th Subie and they have taken care of each one of them very well. Maybe a conversation with dealer management would help. (not just service mgr).
