Hi, I am trying to sell my Subaru Legacy 2015 to help pay husband's medical expenses from traumatic brain injury. There is a horrible smell in the trunk lining and from the chew marks, I believe it is from a mouse. Is this something an unhandy person should even attempt -- rip it out, locate a new one and install it? I do not want to camouflage the odor because that would be unethical. It is gross. I am wondering if this is something the dealer would do. But if I could cut down my costs by at least ripping out the disgusting contaminated trunk carpet and lining that might save me some $$. Any suggestions would be welcome.
