Im driving from NY to CO and i want to tow a 5x8 uhual trailer, and eventually other things within the wieght perimeters. Would any one be able to give me some suggestions, on how to proceed and what to buy?

if u want to be safe on your 2k+ trip, take the car back to the dealer and have them install the hitch.......or take it to u-haul and the will install one be nice to your new car....

Keep in mind the towing capacity for the Outback is 2700lbs. Subaru only installs a 1.25" receiver for Outbacks. Uhaul may have a standard 2" hitch and receiver but that does NOT increase the towing capacity for the car. Check with uhaul on what the weight of their 5x8 trailer is.
