Oil Cooler, Oil Leak - replacement?

Hello. I have a question I hope someone can answer.

MY 2013 Subaru 3.6 R limited. I see a lot of oil moisture on and around the oil cooler. The oil filter itself has a good seal. But the hoses running from and to the cooler are covered in oil. Plus the whole bottom of the engine in the forward area is covered with oil. It seems to be "blowing" back from driving. It is not a gushing amount, but it is now beginning to show drops on the garage floor. Mileage is 120k. Car is in Phoenix, AZ area. Car doesn't smoke but the oil needs to be topped off about 2k miles after an oil change. If I understand this, the oil is water cooled and the oil flows to and from the filter through the cooler and is cooled by the water.

Any suggestions? Do I need to replace the cooler? Or is there a repair that works?

Much appreciated

Fr. John

If you remove the oil filter, you will see a nut in the centre of the cooler housing, remove that nut and its just an o ring you need to replace and refit the cooler housing, that will stop the leak, the part is super cheap and takes 10 minutes to do max
