Hi Friends. I have an interesting issue with the A/C in my 2014 Crosstrek with 177,000 miles. I had the seals and hoses serviced 10K miles ago because of leaks. Fix worked fine, but now I have an interesting problem. When I run the A/C (which in SoCal is most of the time), it runs great for 20-30 minutes, but then stops giving me cool air - the compressor stops cycling. I turn it off for 10 minutes or so, and it comes back (most of the time). And it works fine after sitting for a while. So what's bossibly goin on here? Is the compressor overheating (due to old age) and shutting down? Is there a faulty relay somewhere? In 40 years of driving cars with A/C, I've never had this problem before.
