No Tire pressure sensor when starlink offline?

Regarding 2024 Outback - I just finished a trip with starlink connectivity issues do to remote travel. I luckily saw that I had a close to flat tire. It seems that because I did not have connection to starlink where I was, tire pressure warning light did not register and I could not ‘refresh’ my current tire pressure on the app - App had cellular coverage just not WiFi.
Is this true? The sensor will not set off the tire warning light if starlink is not connected?
