Greetings members! So far I've found this forum to be very helpful! I recently purchased a well worn 2014 Crosstrek with 168,000 miles. Basically for cheap transportation since an elbow injury prevents me from riding my Honda ST1300 for the next several months. Still, I wanted a stick and something fun to drive, that looked decent, and the 4WD is a plus! This thing has seen some wear - almost didn't buy it because the first test drive told me the wheel bearings were shot! Dealer fixed this, so I went with it. Still finding things that are not quite right. Had to do a deep clean to get rid of the dog odor. Blower fan doesn't work when switched to 4. A/C just went out (o-rings or compressor... will find out soon) Seat heaters don't seem to work but the switches light up. I got a good deal on eBay for a replacement radio so now I have a working CD player (replacing this was an adventure - thank you YouTube!). It's almost time to do the next oil change (I do this every 5K regardless of the maintenance cycle). I'm going to try my local Subaru dealer for this first time out. Should be interesting to see what else they might find. People seem to love their Subaru's... hoping I can still get some life out of this one!
