New engine automation trans wont go

I put a new engine in my 2013 impreza and now the automatic transmission will not work. I put a new valve body in about 5000 miles before the old engine blew and everything worked fine before the new engine. Is there something I'm doing wrong?

Was the torque converter installed onto the front pump correctly?
Incorrect installation will damage the front pump tangs / drive unit.
One test is "transmission oil pressure". No pressure indicates damage.

I believe i installed it right but How would I test to see if there it pressure
