hi there ,,i have a 91 legacy, witch i had just bought to get myself to
work but now i have a major problem,,the car will start just fine when
you turn the key,but when you give it gas it boogs out,,,even when i
try to drive i can barley give it any gas in order to go forward,,,and
then its at a snails pace,,,,but when she gets going it seems to work
ok.

I have changed all the filters ,new plugs and wires,,,PLEASE HELP

When changing out the plugs, make sure you didn't try to use v or quad
performance plugs, or as far as I know, most plugs from Bosch. I've heard
those things perform badly in a Subaru.

Do you get a check engine light?

Even if the check engine light isn't on, you may still have trouble codes
stored in the computer.

Under the dash, usually between the steering column and gas pedal you should
find some harnesses that are not plugged in. A green set, and a single
wire, black set. If you plug the two, single wire black harness halves
together, then turn your ignition key to the run position, your check engine
light should flash out any stored codes. Long flashes indicate the ten's
place, short flashes the one's place. So, long-long-short, would indicate a
code 21. (-; Codes will be in numerical order, from lowest to highest,
seperated by a pause in the flashing, and after the last code is displayed,
the codes will be listed from the beginning again.

More in depth instructions and the trouble codes can be found here:

Sounds like fuel starvation. You changed fuel filter? so next check
the fuel rail pressure. If fuel pressure is low then look to fuel
pressure regulator and then fuel pump.

I am ssuming It is an important sensor first guess. check ecu codes.Running
good while warm is more of a strain on fuel pumping,
hence it would get worse after warm if it was the fuel starving...verify by
flooring it once warm into higher rpms. Its obvious if to be failing.
On FI subarus there is a thermal sensors doing alot of freakin work to run
the car good...
You could throw the intake into the forest and make another, then go back
to 1935 and mount the perfect carbeurator...
Hesitating while cold may coincide with coolant consumption. If so, and
there is no ecu codes, find the leak. Sometimes gaskets swell back to a
decent function on warm cylinders that like to fire anyway...
1991 is quite a long ride...
Dirty stuff does this too. An engine cleaning thorough could be a cure...
Good luck, that year was a good one. Unless you got the strange firing
order...

I would never buy a bosch spark plug given all the problems i had with
them in the past.

From the subaru diagnostics chart:
Look for codes
Cracked vacuum hose/vacuum leak including gaskets
Cracked blowby hose
Defective PCV valve
Improper ignition timing
mass airflow sensor
engine coolant temp sensor
throttle pos sensor
EGR valve
Fuel pump

I had the same problem in a Mazda 323 and the problem was spark plug wiring
harness/distributor cap. The ignition was being shorted out somewhere.
