Hello. When making it up an upgrade on a long road trip hauling a small teardrop with a 2009 Forester, I shift into 4th manually instead of letting the transmission automatically downshift to 3rd (unless I get really slow). Is there any problem with this? It seems to me that this saves on gas and excessive engine RPMs.
