Incorrect impedance? Someone smarter than I am? I know that the new LEDs create a lot of strange stuff in my bikes.

It's because your old incandescent bulbs pull much more current than your LED replacements do. The blinker unit is current sensitive as it depends on heating to
make and break the current causing the blink.

You need to find a bulb with a built-in resister. Amazon has a ton of them. What bulbs are you replacing, are they 1156?

The LED manufacturer sometimes has in-line resistors. My LEDs were flickering until I put the resistors in.
Sometimes they're free...sometimes not.

The LEDs I'm thinking of the resistors are built into the lamp. My experience is with this type of lamp constant use of about 20 minutes, the lamps will hyper-flash however once they cool down a bit the flash goes back to normal.
