Lane Keep Assist doesn't annunciate

Just discovered an "interesting feature" in my 2026 Solterra - I was using Lane Keep Assist on a freeway and tapped the blinker to move left, which the automation started - then the lane stripe on the left-hand side of the road was missing for a stretch and the covered in dirt, so the car could not see the stripe and it just kept moving left with NO audible warning that it had "lost lock".

I know it's not intended as "self-drive" and I always keep both hands on the wheel and pay attention; but this seems like an accident waiting to happen.

Has anyone else seen this?

Mine always beeps when it looses a lane stripe. It shuts off on curves too. Sometimes I wonder if it has any value at all.

Driving between Ohio and Florida many times. Notice lane assist works well in every state except West Virginia. It doesn't even try to work in that state.
