I am looking to buy a 1995 Impreza turbo auto that has been imported to the
UK from Japan, does anyone have any comments good or bad regarding the auto
gearbox.

Don't expect anywhere near the same performance
as a manual and fuel consumption will be higher.
I didn't keep my auto Forester turbo long enough
to comment on the reliability of the AT but I believe
it's a strong system.
Hellishly boring to drive though.
