So I bought this 03 forester with a bad motor it ran but barely. So I bought a motor that I know was good pit it in and in doing so triggered the anti theft that triggered the Imobilzer.
The car came with a plain key no chip in it and it didn't come with a fob.
Now I have done the unhook the battery turn the key on hook it back up it turns the security light on the dash off but won't start the the car. I've tried the turn the key off and on stand on your head hold your breath etc. still no start no power beyond the fuel pump relay. I'm done throwing money at this thing. Is there anyway around the Imobilzer without spending anymore cash ?
