Identify this Engine

I purchased a VW bus that has (what I was told) a 1999 EJ204 engine. I need to replace the valve cover seals/gaskets but am not able to find them online. The local Subaru dealer could not match them either. Likely an engine for the Japanese or European markets. Any advice on how to identify this engine is much appreciated.
