How to program my Homelink garage door opener

I have an Overhead Door model 1026 garage door opener. I've been trying to program the Homelink button on my 2020 Subaru Forester Touring with no luck. When I follow the directions, I end up with a flashing green light on the mirror and can't get past that. I googled the process and followed those instructions with no better luck. Does anyone know the process for pairing? I've researched this and followed a variety of instructions with no luck.

Watch one of the many videos on YouTube that tells you exactly how to go about it. Depending on the opener, you may have push a button on the opener in the process as mine did. I think those are the openers that employ a rolling security code.

Dick is correct. The garage door opener has a "learning" button on the back of it. The YouTube video will explain it.
