Hey there. Just saying hi from South Bend, IN.
We currently own a 2020 Ascent premium which is my wife's daily and I own a 2014 Forester base trim.
My Forester is currently waiting for a short block replacement after I recently discovered my local dealership (and Subaru) failed to notify me of the oil burning class action lawsuit agreed upon in 2016. However, even at 114K miles and 8 years old, Subaru offered that I pay $1k and they pay the balance (something like $6k) for the short block replacement.
So once my newly preferred dealer receives the parts, they will call me. I am hoping that this means my 14 Forester will last a long time to come. I was going through a TON of oil lately.
While our family was growing my wife and I leased an original Crosstrek and then the 2nd Gen 2018 Crosstrek before moving into the Ascent.
We love Subaru, even if competition from other companies is getting enticing.
