Drivers side headlight has gone out. Replaced the bulb and it's still not working. What else to check? Is this a common problem in subaru outback's? Fuse checks out as well.

Do a basic diagnosis. Is there power at the socket? Is the new bulb known to be good? Have you seen it lit? Ohm the bulb? Anything??? or are you just asking around? lol

All logical questions. I don't know if the socket has power, making an assumption that it does. I have not seen the bulb be lit either. Again, assuming it's good as it was just bought. I can of course check the power to the socket. I guess what I was hoping to find out by posting in this forum was to see if other have had a similar problem and what they did to figure out their issue.

Gotcha. It is just 12V or not, so pretty simple. I've bought more than one bad new bulb. You could swap sides and see what happens...which one or both illuminate. :)

Never assume...you know.
