Grinding Noise After Brake Job

B

Last week I had the front pads replaced and rotors turned at a Subaru
dealer. Now I hear a grinding noise as I slow down. Is this normal?
How should I break in new pads? I have part numbers if that would
make a difference.

Just take the car back to the dealer that did the brakes. You have a real
problem and it will not get better with time.

Mine made a bit of noise after similar work was done.

It took about 80 miles of city driving for it to fade away.

So, it sort of depends on what you mean by "grinding noise".

Are we talking brillo pad on a metal sink, or "o my god there's a spoon in
my disposal" noise...

Sounds like the rotors were not turned down all the way to the edge. The
brake pads might be on the non turn down part. Take it back or wait till it
rubs in.

But I would take it back.

They fixed it. Thanks for suggestions
