Gas lever rusted floor

Hi I just bought a Subary Impreza 2012 to find that the seller did not disclosed that the gas tank lever no longer works and when you try to use it a piece of the floor comes up with it cause it’s all rusted. Does anyone have a fix for this that is not too expensive?

A welder could look into it for you, or you could cheap out and JB Weld a metal/durable plastic panel there after you cleaned the rust to bare metal.
