Hi, good day everyone. My 2018 Forester (milage 34k) makes a whirling sound (close to something touching a fan sound) while accelerating. It is infrequent and sort of random but generally occurs as I steadily accelerate. It mostly happens around 40 kmph and sometimes around 60 kmph mark. It is very distinguishable from inside the car and feels like coming from underneath the vehicle. The noise stays for about 4-5 seconds and disappears if I continue to accelerate or release the gas pedal.
I got the vehicle checked by mechanics and had a number of physical inspections under the car. The car had its CAT reinstalled before I purchased it as the CAT was stolen from the lot. No other major renovation or repair has been done.
My apology for the sound quality of the video. The noise is at 12-15 second mark (40 kmph) and very faintly around 18 second mark (60 kmph) in the video.
I would appreciate any advice please.
