forester 15K mile service

I was notified by Subaru that my 15,000 mi service is coming due on my 2003
forester XS. They recommend changing the AT fluid. This doesn't sound
right to me. I've never herd of changing the AT fluid in just 15,000 miles.
Has anyone herd of this before?

That is your dealer fishing for some $$. There is a service schedule in
your owners manual with recommended intervals for the various items
including fluid changes. Follow it, and if the dealer insists on
additional services you don't need, either do the work yourself or take
it someplace else.

Look at your service manual. If it differs, tell dealer to stuff it and do
only what manual recommends.
It is not beyond service departments to lie to you.
