Chances that there is someone reading this are pretty small but
what the heck, I'll give it a try. If interested, please reply to this
message and I will reply with my email address. I will gladly send
high-res pictures if desired.

Impreza 1993 Sedan, 115,743 mi, FWD, manual 5 speed
transmission, AC, radio/cassette. No plates. Asking $400.

The car is in Madison, WI. The car drives perfectly normal but the
body suffered badly in the accident. Right side headlight is smashed,
bumper and hood are damaged on this side, left headlight still works
but is a bit loose. Local pickup only. Plates have been transferred
to a new car.

Single owner, regular maintenance throughout, all records available.
I'll include the official Subaru Workshop Service Manual in PDF format -
540 pages of detailed troubleshooting and repair information!

To the best of my knowledge the car did not sustain any mechanical
damage from the accident (put over 150 mi on it after the accident,
didn't notice anything unusual or mileage change). . In fact, to this
day it feels like it drives the same as when it was brand new car. I imagine
that some DIY work + some junk yard body parts will give you back a
car that should easily run for 50,000-75,000 miles with only
normal/regular maintenance. Obviously though, YMMV - I don't have a
crystal ball.

Alternatively, take it for parts - it has plenty of good/decent ones.
The entire 1993-1996 Impreza line is compatible.

Other than fluid/filter changes and inspections, service history includes
(unless stated otherwise, parts are new genuine Subaru):
- Clutch, timing belt and drive belts replaced at 59,885 mi.
- Front half axle (NAPA) was replaced at 70,232 mi after damage
from torn CV boot went unnoticed; all CV boots are intact now.
- New battery at 80,958 mi (that's how long the original lasted)
- Tires replaced at 91,205 mi (Michelin Harmony P175/70R13),
they are still in pretty decent shape.
- Front brake pads (Akebono Pro-Act ceramic) and rotors (Brembo)
replaced at 96,064 mi
- Spark plugs AND spark plug wires replaced at 100,539 mi
- Rear struts replaced at 107,567 mi

Good things:
- Fantastic winter car - never failed to start.
- AC has an old style refrigerant (HFC-134a) and still gives colder
air faster than AC in our 2002 Forester.
- Clean inside (not pristine but clean for a 17 years old car).

Bad things:
- Recent accident damage.
- Some rust spots (nothng major)
- Not so good body repair from an earlier minor collision (poor paint job).
- Front left fender was replaced earlier due to rust and the current one
is not 100% color match (very close but not identical).
- There is a tiny oil leak that's been unchanged for the last 3.5 years. It
does not affect oil level appreciably between normal oil changes. It's
definitely not something major - no oil burning, no blue smoke, no oil
in coolant or coolant in oil.
