Longtime Jeep guy, who lost faith in that beloved brand, as they became more Fiat than Jeep.
Tried a RAV4, for its reliable and practical reputation. After two years of battling the Toy's medieval/non-existent technology, the appearance of the Outback Wilderness made that a viable option.
So far, so good, two hour road trip down to the Loops of the Potomac, followed by a couple miles of gnarly access road to get to a campsite.
Then, I folded half the backseat, and slept inside, on a flat platform.
All went well, including driving through a frog-strangler of a rainstorm (it did hose off the dust and mud) on the homeward way.
So hello, and we'll see how the forum works.
