Engine cut off at 65 mph with no warning

I have a manual 2011 Impreza with 150K. Yesterday I was riding along at 65 mph and the dash lights just cut out and the engine shut off; no warning lights, no sounds, just poof!!. I had to pull off the side of road to investigate. I checked under the hood because I smelled something burning. Checked all belts and hoses; nothing was amiss. No fluids were dripping out, so I started her up and continued on my way. Now, whatever it was is a warning; I'm guessing its electrical... Does anyone have any idea what it could be? Can't find anything in the manual. Thanks
