Hey guys,
I’ve got a 2000 Subaru Legacy 2.0 (EJ20) in Sweden. It’s leaking coolant (from the water pump? https://photos.app.goo.gl/ASygy9bA698xTB8h7), so I was running it on water. Before leaving the country for a few months, I drained the system to avoid freezing, but I didn’t open the block drains, so there’s probably still some water left.
While draining, I lifted the car from both sides (was changing to winter tires), so maybe that helped a bit.
Questions:
1) Is the leftover water amount negligible?
2) If I add pure coolant (how much?), will it reach and mix with that water?
3) Will any remaining water leak out on its own?
If not, I guess I’ll need to ask someone to refill it properly (and let it leak).
