Driving Subaru Legacy in Mexico / Central America

P

Paul Kowalski

Hey folks-

I'm fantasizing about going on a long (1-2 months?) roadtrip in Mexico
and perhaps a few of the neighboring Central American countries. Driving
our 96 Legacy L. I believe that Subaru doesn't sell cars in Mexico? That
would make it impossible to get it fixed if any major breakdowns occur.
Has anyone done anything like this in a Subie? Any ideas about parts,
etc.? I know I saw an Outback driven down from San Diego when I was in
Loreto, Baja, a few years ago........ :)

thanks in advance!
