Door Seal is falling off - How to repair ?

My 2014 Subaru Forester

The front left (Drivers Door) black flexible door seal, that seals between the moving door and the body, has come loose from the door.

I do not understand what ever held it in plce. There are no clips or pushpins. The Door Seal seems to be undamaged and is not torn, nor hardened or softened. It look like new, but is falling off of the door.

What is the solution ?

I will purchase this adhesive, and after cleaning the metal and rubber with alcohol, glue on the old seal.

If it fails, I will have lost only the cost of the adhesive.

Did this work? Or did you have to buy a new seal? I am in the same situation

Purchase a new seal and use "3M Black Super Weatherstrip Adhesive".

I am noticing that 3M adhesive is almost 30 CAD and Permatex is 10 CAD
