Door locking

2021 Crosstrek, my 5th Subaru. I'm getting used everything being electronic. However, the door locks still have me confused. According to the manual, the doors can be locked by closing all the doors and then touching the door handle. I do that but there is no chirp to let me know the doors are locked. Is that normal? Just to make sure it's locked I always lock the doors using the key fob.

You have to go into the Car setting in the screen and set the horn to chirp on lock/unlock.
