Hello, I recently closed my drivers door on my seatbelt. After which my dash warnings intermittently show the drivers door as being open. It ended up draining my battery to the point I needed a jump. I took it to the dealer and they pointed out that when I closed the door on the seatbelt it actually dented the door where the censor is suppose to connect. As a result of the indentation the censor is not making the connection. They told me I have to take it to a bodyshop to fix. The tech then mentioned that he has seen where others have epoxied a piece of something, like foam rubber, where the damaged is to raise the area up so the censor can connect. Has anyone else run into this problem? Do you have any suggestions on how I can fix this without going to a bodyshop? Thanks.
