I have a 2017 Subaru Forester and my seat belt chimes have returned. But unlike the normal reset (after disconnecting the battery) the chines just got reset??? I have no idea how this feature got reset. I know the 20 click method having used it on 5 Subaru's but this time I can't get the chime to stop.

I've tried both starting with the key in position 1 and 2 (without starting the engine) and within 30 sec 20 clicks, turning off and removing the key and then starting up the engine. The only thing I haven't tried is disconnecting the battery in hopes that the reset the resets what ever.

Any suggestions.

The 20-click method worked on 2nd attempt in my '25 Outback. Key was pushing start button twice before beginning.
