Hi, we have a 2016 Subaru Outback (purchased new and only serviced at one dealership) here in Newcastle NSW, Australia. The car has reached 160,000km (daily driver and long faimly trips). Last service the dealership advised the CVT was leaking and will need to be replaced at A$11,000.

Has happened to other Subaru ownerss? We wish to build a class case (similar to Nissan CVT owners).

Thank you,
AusOutback

I replaced my CVT after no help from Subaru America at 123 k miles. Also check other dealers and pit them against each other and that price will come down. The best price I got was $7900, but I did have a $11,000 bid like yourself. I ended up doing it myself for $6,000 with a 3 year, 100k mile warranty. Hope this helps
