Has anyone else had a clutch failure, but failed engaged? 98' outback. It's not the master or the slave. I'm not gonna pull it apart far nuff to figure what it is until I decide to R&R the clutch. However my curiosity has gotten the better of me. I suspect a broken Fork or unthreaded fork ball?
It was given to me for $400.00 in future labor, pretty clean body & interior, new tires, I don't remember what the mileage is, runs great, uses a bit of oil, and had a little tiny bit of stiff wrong feeling clutch for a week(fully disclosed to me it was Janky) before it shit the bed completely. It don't even have the Suuby knock(just a tiny tick for 30 seconds on cold start). I've got bout 5,000 miles on start & Go in gear and can't believe the starter hasn't called in sick yet. 4th gear is a stubborn bitch when she's good and warm, grinds a bit but I go up& back down to 1st. It definitely keeps you paying attention. If you pull your foot to quick on a cold start the N safety will cut out and she'll buck a whole energy drink outta the cup holder and into your lap. Try to hold on and get a buckle
