CarPlay defect?

My 2022 crosstrek sport’s Apple CarPlay recently stopped working. Both apple and android features are greyed out on my vehicle’s screen. We have downloaded all the updates and ensured all the correct options have been chosen for Siri/accessories, etc. reset the system, powered down IPhone…… The ports work and have tried different cable chargers.

Apple states this is a Subaru problem. I’d really like to solve this myself if possible. Help?

Return the Crosstrek to the dealer and have them update the firmware. Start with that.
Ask if the firmware is an actual Subaru update.

Every time my infotainment acts wonky I hold down the two control buttons on the radio. Wait until screen goes black and release.

This reboots the system and gets me out of “glitch” mode.
