Cargo Cover

We have a new 2024 Subaru Forester Touring and are still working our way through all the new electronics and other gadgets. Quite an upgrade from our old 2008 Sub. But we are stumped by one thing. On the rear cargo cover, it is obvious where the one end hooks in when you pull it into place. But on the other end of the cover (in front of the front crossbar) there is a piece about 6" long hanging down and flopping around. It has little plastic ends on it but for the life of us, we can't figure out where they attach to. Haven't found the answer in the book. Can anybody enlighten us?

Tom1946: Just picked up our '25 Forester Touring 11/21/24. I'm trying to figure out the same thing. When I do, I'll let you know. Lots of info to learn.

Tom: The ends on mine are rubber. This flap goes between the cargo cover and the back seat. They rest on the piece of plastic, right and left side of the interior.
Let me know if you get it set.
