Hello All,

I am new to the forum and just picked up a 2026 Forester yesterday (3rd Subaru). The dealer has an option for Carbon Steel by Entire Car Protection (ECP). Coating the windshield to help prevent chips, reduce glare and shed water is an interesting prospect. There isn't much on the web about it. Has anyone used this product and does it work?

Thanks.

Snake Oil. While there are ceramic coatings that will make the windshield shed water nothing will prevent rock chips or reduce glare. If the dealer provided coating is expensive and they will guarantee against rock chips, they are basically selling windshield protection insurance.

Did they also offer lifetime turn signal bulb fluid replacement for $400?
