we have an '09 legacy. Car keeps stalling once it gets heated up. my son got stranded, so we had to tow it to the nearest Subaru dealership. Many "fixes" have been tried to no avail. The service center has no idea and there it sits for 5 weeks. Waiting for a field engineer guru, and can't get one to commit. We paid $600 for the first "fix" two days after we towed it in, started to drive it away, and stalled just like before; that was five weeks ago, and it is still there! What do we do? what recourse?

What has the dealer replaced? Sounds like an engine crank/speed sensor but, the dealer may have replaced it.

And the model is? Engine? Transmission?
The dealer may have recorded a series of faults in multiple controllers, The faults are?
Was fuel pressure tested? Was the EGR tested?
Find another reputable shop that can test items such as the crank position, cam positions, VVT solenoids, Ignition and injector triggers / wave forms.
Test instead of throwing parts at this model.
