My wife and I both have profiles configured for our Forester. Weekday happen very often is that she touched the car before I do, and then when I go to get in, I get scrunched because there seat has adjusted to get size. I hate this!

Fixable?

Don't know about yours but mine automatically adjusts the seats mirrors etc depending on who the driver is. It says "hello Dick" when I get in the car. Of course you need to register the drivers ahead of time. I think it will accommodate 3 drivers bug dont quote me on that. I have a 2021 Forrester touring.

That's how my 2021 Forester worked and my 2025 does also. Not sure but I think that only the Touring model has that feature.

My 2020 Forester has two profiles. Mine and my wife. If she drives, the adjustments (seat, mirrors etc) are for her. Before I get in, I press the profile number on the door which will adjust everything to my settings. That's just how I do it.

Now that's interesting - and a practical high tech feature. I wonder, how does it know it's you, a different key fob?

I have the same issue. Although there is supposed to be a setting that will retract the seat when you open the door, I have found that, on the Touring option (we has a '22 Forester) that function doesn't work because the "Driver Monitor" feature is active. Bottom line... manually select the seeting position on the door before you get in... it corects the problem. Hope this helps!

Jeff, both responses are correct. I see your concern about trying to get in. The camera's facial recognition will detect you, if it is programed. If you can not get into the vehicle it will not work. So then the two profile buttons(they have a 1 and 2 on them) on the inside of the driver door need to be programmed. User manual will explain how to program this. Then you can just open the driver door and push the button before you get in.

This happens with our memory seat Beemers as well. First person to touch the car is recognized. I now open a door for my bride; it saves a lot of trouble.
