What year is your dad’s car? They've replaced more than one of my dad's Legacies/Outback. Same reasons people are having troubles with them here. Electronics and CVTs.
I am very disappointed that even though Toyota only owns 20% of Subaru, Subaru are being turned into ersatz Toyotas. He's had a few over the last 10 or so years. They've all failed electronically or transmission. Enough to get a new car on Subaru. I'm 2009 or earlier on the Legacy side. Once they started chasing Honda/Toyota, all was lost. Sadly, they're being rewarded with incredible sales.
I didn't know Toyota had a hunk of Subaru. HowAboutThat!I am very disappointed that even though Toyota only owns 20% of Subaru, Subaru are being turned into ersatz Toyotas.
My brother and his wife bought a 2025 outback and have decided they don’t like it….idiots.
Anyway, I told them to park it for a year and a half and then they could sell it and get all their money back.
The new 2026 outback looks like a Toyota and a Chevrolet had an illegitimate child
