dealer wants me to have a 4 wheel alignment, i explained the car runs perfectly , why unnecessary work with only 13000 miles?

I'm not sure I've ever aligned a car that didn't have a steering or tire wear issue.

Alignment can address issues not felt by driver causing premature ture wear. That dont mean u need one. Ask to see the current alignment sheet showing it is needed. Ask them why they are recommending. Hiw many potholes or bumps u hit in 13k miles?

Use to buy Goodyear tires and paid for free alignments and rotation and they always said an adjustment was needed. Now use a very good mechanic and they don't use a machine to check alignments. Told me they just look at tire wear every time they rotate them.

Good thing that "very good mechanic" did not become a doctor. He would wait til after your heart attack to check cholesterol and blood pressure. Can he also tell if a tire is out of balance by looking at it? Time to find a new mechanic.
