I have a 2008 subaru at first the brakes have a slight sponge after about 7 miles they start to get tight, leave work the car is fine, next day the same thing.
If you have been driving in the rain lately, that may be the reason for the tighter braking. The brake calipers are designed to move in closer to the rotor when driving in rain to aid in braking response in wet weather.
