hi - I'm new on this forum. I have a 1995 Subaru Legacy with around 225,000 km. For a year or so I've been noticing an odd noise when I depress the brake pedal. I usually notice it when the car is cold and I'm backing out of my underground parking stall, (which also involves a turn, but I don't think the steering is involved). It's sort of a "sproing" sound, a bit like a spring releasing or something. It doesn't happen much once the car warms up, though I have noticed it occassionally.
Any ideas what it might be? I've had my mechanic look over the whole brake system and he pronounced it safe, but I would like to know what it is. Cheers.
