For your the H7 bulb in your car, probably a high-quality gray-market
bulb, like Osram Silverstar or Philips Vision Plus. I hear the new GE
Nighthawk line is supposed to be good, although I've never seen one at
a store. Don't know if they come in H7. Sylvania XtraVision doesn't
seem to come in H7. If you're not looking to spend too much, just a
normal replacement (Sylvania, Philips, GE) should be fine. The H7 puts
out a decent amount of light (close to an H1).

Another question is, how often do you want to change them? Any kind
of colored headlamp bulb won't last as long for a bunch of reasons.
I've learned to avoid the overhyped Sylvania Silverstar line of bulbs.
Cost way to much and burn out considerably faster.

They burn out way quicker...SS=blue tint kid
stuff.

Back to why they burn out faster.

The tint reduces output. They're driven harder to compensate. The
tint also traps heat, reducing filament life. Heat trapped by
fingerprints/grease can also reduce filament life.

Sylvania's own spec sheet screams out don't use the Silverstar.
The rated life (B50 standard - 50% failure at 14.0V) of their 9006
Silverstar is 150 hours. It's 850 for XtraVision, 1000 for standard,
and 1500 for long-life.

I've used both Sylvania SilverStar and PIAA Super Whites. Both have
MUCH better output and better color than the standard halogens, but
don't expect HID performance. Well worth the extra cost over
conventional bulbs, however.

Between the two, that's easy. I've gone through two sets of Sylvanias
but am still using the first set of PIAA's! (Dang, now I've gone and
said it, they'll be burned out tomowrrow!).

You want better light output, you're gonna pay for it. $40 is alot
cheaper than ven the most minor fender-bender!
