What is the best headlight restoration kit? I've got a 2014 Forester Premium with some frosting starting on the headlight covers, would like to get that taken care of before they get worse. Is it better to hire it out?

Best for? What's your problem? There can be finish issues on the outside, inside, leaks, etc.

Right, but that can be from the inside or the outside. If it is the outside only, I've been using the Turtle Wax kit for many years. It has a few degrees of sandpaper like pads and a light abrasive fluid. In nearly all cases, the fluid-only has done the job. Probably put it on your calendar to do annually and you're be looking sharp!

Check out Project Farm on YouTube. He tested many and I believe he preferred the Sylvania kit.

I recently read that ordinary toothpaste will remove the "clouding" if it's on the outside of the headlight cover. The writer recommended then waxing it to reduce any additional problems.
